On Sept 27-28, 2023, the Program Executive Officer for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)) hosted a three-day Industry Event in southern Maryland, near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River. Aimed at deepening industry collaborations, the event showcased the technological requirements of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), PEO(U&W), and the Navy’s Unmanned Community. The first day, conducted exclusively in-person, was classified at the SECRET level. The subsequent two days were open to pre-registered attendees and offered both in-person and virtual live-streaming options. IFT attended the sessions on the second day. Notably, the event’s final day continued discussions from the Navy Unmanned Industry Event held in March 2023 and satisfied the Department of the Navy (DoN) Industry Outreach Event requirement stipulated by the FY23 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA FY23).
