On Sept 12, 2022, IFT received an Army SBIR Phase II contract “Distributed Coded Computing Based Tactical Information Service Platform. ” IFT aims to develop a tactical information service platform, which enables edge devices to efficiently perform distributed computation, information processing, storage, and dissemination in a tactical edge network. The platform integrates a mix of advanced technologies, including distributed coded computing (DCC), named data networking (NDN), and service-centric networking (SCN) to address information processing and content management challenges at the tactical edge.
