On March 28, 2024, IFT received an Air Force STTR Phase II contract “Deep Transfer Learning Across Domains, Modalities and Classes.” The US Air Force is enhancing an adaptation framework for AI classifiers that can handle large domain shifts, focusing on open set domain adaptation, model calibration, and continual learning. Phase II of the project involves creating a semi-supervised GAN-based approach and a dual-mode prototype system to increase classification robustness and accuracy.
