IFT received a Phase I option for RF & EO/IR Mixed Sensor System for Human Target Detection and Geolocation. This is for the continuation of our platform design for detection and geolocation of human targets in the GPS-denied environment. Due to the application of a novel ranging technique, a high ranging accuracy is obtained with a low complexity transceiver and transponder system. The system can be applied in indoor and outdoor environment as long as three or more platforms have their location determined. Its applications include terrorist searching, small scale street combat, and civil applications, such as disaster rescue, search and recovery, and agricultural augmentation of automatic target/vehicle surveillance.
