As part of the NSBA delegation, IFT participated in several activities aimed at providing small-business owners the latest updates on federal legislation, as well as increasing policymakers’ awareness of critical small-business issues. Attendees heard from a wide array of political experts, including Rick Dearborn who served as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff from January 2017 to Mid-March 2018. During a briefing at the White House, the delegation heard from top administration experts, including Chris Pilkerton, Acting Administrator of the SBA and John Melle, Deputy United States Trade Representative.
