From July 15-18, 2024, IFT and its collaborators presented two papers at the IEEE NAECON 2024 conference. The first paper, titled “Improving Condition-Based Maintenance Transparency Through Causal Explanations: An Aircraft Maintenance Scheduling Case Study,” explored innovative approaches to enhance transparency in condition-based maintenance by using causal explanations, with a specific focus on aircraft maintenance scheduling. The second paper, “Dynamic Digital Twins for Situation Awareness,” discussed the development and application of dynamic digital twin technology to improve situation awareness in various operational contexts. IFT’s contributions to IEEE NAECON 2024 underscore our commitment to advancing research and innovation in critical areas such as maintenance transparency and situational awareness.
