From June 9-13, 2024, IFT had the honor of attending and presenting a paper at the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC 2024) in Denver, CO, USA. The paper, titled “Virtual Network Function Placement for Mapping SFC Requests of UAV-sourced Video Streaming in Cloud Networks,” was authored by Duo Xu, Xin Tian, Khanh Pham, Erik Blasch, and Genshe Chen. This work addresses the challenges of efficiently mapping service function chain (SFC) requests for UAV-sourced video streaming in cloud networks, offering innovative solutions for optimizing network performance and resource allocation.
Presenting at ICC 2024 highlights IFT’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of communication technology, particularly in the context of UAV and cloud network integration. The insights shared in this paper contribute to the ongoing research in virtual network functions and their applications in modern communication networks. We are proud to have been part of such a prestigious conference and look forward to furthering our contributions to the field.
